📚 What You Need to Know

Your Teams chats, including group chats and meeting chats, will NOT move.

This includes both 1:1 chats, group chats with more than two people, and Teams meeting chats.

Teams channels and the files stored in them will move.

Only your Teams chats will not transfer.

New chats will work normally.

Any new chat you start after the migration works as usual.

✅ What You Need To Do Before November 6

Review your Teams chats, including group and meeting chats, for anything important.

Look for decisions, approvals, instructions, or reference information.

Save anything critical you need to keep.

Screenshots, notes or copying it into a document are all good options.

Save any files shared in your chats to your OneDrive.

They will migrate with the rest of your files.

Taking a few minutes to do this before November 6 is the single best step you can take to prepare.
